[SMM Lithium Carbonate Market Commentary: LC2505 Most-Traded Contract Rose by 0.05%] On December 26, the LC2505 most-traded lithium carbonate futures contract rose by 0.05%. According to the data, the LC2505 most-traded contract opened at 77,660 yuan/mt and closed at 77,180 yuan/mt. The trading volume was 106,661 lots, and the open interest was 151,398 lots, an increase of 6,765 lots compared to the previous trading day.

SMM December 26 News: 【SMM Lithium Carbonate Futures Review: LC2505 Most-Traded Contract Rose 0.05%】 On December 26, the lithium carbonate 2505 most-traded contract rose 0.05%. According to the data, the lithium carbonate 2505 most-traded contract opened at 77,660 yuan/mt and closed at 77,180 yuan/mt, with a trading volume of 106,661 lots and an open interest of 151,398 lots, an increase of 6,765 lots compared to the previous trading day. SMM's battery-grade lithium carbonate spot price for the day was 74,400–76,800 yuan/mt, with an average price of 75,600 yuan/mt, unchanged from the previous working day. From the trend perspective, the lithium carbonate price fluctuated slightly downward after the opening, stabilized and rose during the session, and fluctuated downward again in the afternoon, ultimately closing up 0.05%.

According to comprehensive preliminary monthly association data: the estimated wholesale sales of NEVs by national passenger car producers in January 2026 were 900,000 units, up 1% YoY.
